The ideal candidate will have a passion for law enforcement and making a positive impact on the community, as well as committed to teamwork and delivering excellent customer service. The Police Recruit position within the Police Department performs the following tasks:


Learn operations of the Police Department first-hand through observation and participation in a wide variety of police activities. Serve in a training capacity while attending the Police Academy.

Below are the testing dates scheduled for this application period.


Physical and Written Test Dates




Wednesday, December 17th at 5:00 pm

Physical Test





The physical test consists of the following events:


1.5 mile run - 14 minutes 40 seconds Push-ups in 1 minute - 31 Sit-ups in 1 minute - 34

Oral Boards





Applicants that pass the physical and written tests are eligible to be scheduled for an oral board, which may be conducted virtually if residing out of town.





Background Investigations





The most qualified applicants from the testing will be invited into background investigations. These will include the following.


Background Questionnaire Polygraph Background Interview Chief Interview Conditional Job Offer AZPOST Medical Exam Psychological Testing and Interview

Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS




At least 21 years old by time of academy graduation Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent Be able to pass a police background check Be able to pass a polygraph test Be able to obtain an AZPOST certification Possess or able to obtain a valid AZ Driver's License



Compensation: $32.28
