As a Police Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within the community. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to serving and protecting citizens while upholding the law. You will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, and engaging with the community to foster trust and cooperation.
Duties
Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
Respond promptly to calls for service, emergencies, and incidents requiring police assistance.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, arrests, and investigations.
Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations on crime prevention initiatives.
Qualifications
United States citizen, high school diploma or equivalent, and must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment. Candidates may be required to complete physical agility testing, oral board interview, polygraph, medical and psychological examinations, and an extensive background investigation.
Full-Time certified officers are encouraged to apply and may be compensated based on experience. Preference may be afforded to those candidates already certified by the State of NH or other accepted police certifications.
Non-certified candidates with college degrees, corrections experience, or a true desire to work in law enforcement are also encouraged to apply.
Pay Range
$63,356 to $87,318 per year
