Job Description

Busy 4 clinic practice established for over 35 years needing nurse practioner for 3 days per week to see patients. We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients in need of podiatric needs and wound care.

WE DO NOT CARRY HEALTH INSURANCE.

Duties

Outstanding opportunity to join our well-established private practice and work alongside our highly respected board certified podiatrist and a dedicated, support staff Provide state of the art podiatric care in a clinical setting Examine patients, review their medical histories, and listen to their concerns to diagnose lower extremity conditions and abnormalities Develop and execute appropriate plans of care using a variety of medicine, tools, technology, and techniques Provide education, advice, and instructions to patients and their families about their specific plans of care as well as general podiatric health Become a trusted source of information and treatment Maintain medical records and complete other medical documentation in accordance with state regulations as well as internal policy
- Assessing and treating various types of wounds, including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and diabetic ulcers
- Developing and implementing individualized wound care plans
- Monitoring and documenting wound healing progress
- Educating patients and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Performing procedures such as wound debridement, routine foot care, as well as all foot and ankle problems

Qualifications

- Valid NP/PA license with Wound Care Certification preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Ability to lift and move patients when necessary
- Strong knowledge of internal medicine principles and wound care best practices along with podiatric evaluation and treatment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,204.00 - $120,000.00 per year
