Overview

I run a fairly sizable YouTube channel that has rapidly grown over the last few months - due to this, I am seeking a creative video editor to assist with our new podcast. The individual needs to have at least some sports background/knowledge, it will be more difficult if you are not a sports fan (NFL, NBA primarily). The main channel name is my name (Michael MacKelvie) - the podcast is just "Michael MacKelvie Podcast". and if you take a look, you will see the depth and quality we are looking for (Adobe suite required).

I am currently looking for a podcast editor, roughly 15-20 hours a week (per podcast, it takes me 8-10 hours to do what you see). If you have room to go 40 hours, great, as I film two podcasts per week, often. I will definitely be looking for quality (to match my channel's style), but also timeliness. There won't be a heavy animation need, but you'll need to be abele to download b-roll (via YouTube) and have a feel for when to switch cameras.

Responsibilities

Editor will receive footage and audio files - you'll need to be able to download about 150-200-350gb per video as we have multiple cameras shooting 4k (so if your internet sucks, probably not for you). From here, editor will need to sync, edit, and line up the pod with visuals. Audition or some software to edit the audio, beef it up and control for echo/etc. Feel for what visuals to drop in and where - I can't be telling you what to do the whole time, you need to know how and when to drop in the correct visuals (basic visuals like a Lex Frideman pod). Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator). Experience in video editing and production (not just "hey, I edited a few videos before"). Strong organizational skills to manage the process. Willingness to adapt to my channel style

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
