Overview

O'Neill Bros. Plumbing is looking for an organized and motivated Plumbing helper/apprentice to join our team.

O'Neill Bros. Plumbing provides high quality plumbing services to both residential and commercial clients. We have years of experience servicing the DMV area, developing a stellar reputation in the plumbing industry.

In this role, you will assist experienced plumbers in various tasks related to plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance. This position is ideal for individuals that like to work with their hands, learn valuable skills, wants to grow with a company and gain hands-on experience in the plumbing field.

Duties

Assist lead plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks. Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and job sites. Learn and apply plumbing techniques, safety protocols, and codes. Assist with material handling and job preparation. Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Provide field service support as needed, addressing plumbing issues in residential or commercial settings. Communicate effectively with customers and team members. Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to listen and take direction.

Requirements

Previous experience in a trade or construction environment is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance practices. Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of plumbing systems and components. Participate in remodeling projects by assisting with plumbing layout and fixture installation. Learn to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks. Experience with pipe threading, welding, or HVAC systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments (indoor, outdoor, confined spaces).
Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
