Job Description

Aramark is hiring a Plumber to support Facilities Maintenance operations at Alabama A&M University. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of plumbing systems across campus facilities, helping ensure safe, reliable, and fully functional buildings for students, faculty, and staff.
This role is well suited for a plumber with 1-4 years of hands-on experience and Journeyman card who is looking for a steady, campus-based schedule with opportunities for growth within a large facilities management organization.
Schedule & Licensing Information
Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
On-Call: Rotating on-call coverage required
Licensing: Journeyman card and/or State plumbing license preferred
Job Responsibilities

• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers
• Anticipates and responds to customer needs.
• Inspects assigned areas on a routine basis and performs maintenance where necessary to keep facility in functioning and serviceable condition.
• Completes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedure.
• Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replace or mend broken pipes and open clogged drains.
• Reports on any major maintenance needs and recommends corrective action as appropriate.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years' experience and knowledge in repair and general maintenance of plumbing required.
• Journeyman card
• State license preferred
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
