Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Plastic Manufacturing Technician to join our innovative production team. In this role, you will be instrumental in operating and maintaining various manufacturing equipment used to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, uphold safety standards, and guarantee that products meet rigorous quality specifications. Duties



Operate plastic manufacturing machinery including plastics extrusion, blow molding, injection molding, and press brake machines to produce precision plastic parts. Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection and dimensional verification of finished products. Set up and adjust machinery parameters using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize production efficiency and product quality. Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, utilizing forklift certification for materials handling and storage. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment such as CNC lathes, CNC machines, and fabrication tools to minimize downtime. Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to specifications and standards. Assist in fabrication and assembly tasks as needed, applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve workflow efficiency.

Experience



Proven experience in plastics manufacturing or a related industrial setting with hands-on knowledge of plastics extrusion, blow molding, or injection molding processes. Familiarity with CNC machinery, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other machining tools is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine control and automation is preferred. Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts enhances operational understanding. Basic math skills necessary for measuring components accurately using calipers and micrometers. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to streamline operations and improve productivity. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
