We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Injection Mold Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components efficiently and safely. Duties
Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines to produce precision plastic parts according to specifications.
Conduct routine inspections of molds and machinery using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues related to hydraulics, electrical systems, or mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including hydraulic systems, electrical panels, and high voltage components, following established CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) procedures.
Adjust machine parameters via programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize cycle times and product quality.
Document production data, machine performance, and maintenance activities accurately in CMMS or other tracking systems.
Follow safety protocols related to industrial mechanics, low voltage electrical systems, welding (including welding), and high voltage operations.
Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues using ammeters, ohmmeters, and analysis skills to identify faults in industrial electrical circuits.
Support field service activities when necessary by performing repairs or adjustments on-site at various manufacturing facilities or customer locations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards; operate scissor lifts or other equipment as needed for overhead or elevated tasks.
Collaborate with technical sales teams by providing insights into manufacturing capabilities or product specifications when required.
Skills
Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on injection molding processes.
Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and process documentation for troubleshooting and repairs.
Hands-on electrical experience with low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and industrial electrician skills.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used for machine automation control.
Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges for quality assurance purposes.
Ability to operate CMMS software for maintenance scheduling and record-keeping.
Skilled in analysis techniques using tools like ammeters and ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
Ability to operate scissor lifts safely; comfortable working at heights when required.
Excellent customer service skills when collaborating with internal teams or external clients during field service activities.
Strong understanding of schematics related to electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts.
Experience in industrial maintenance roles within manufacturing settings; military background is a plus for discipline and technical aptitude.
Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
