We are currently seeking a

Plant Superintendent

to join our Omaha, NE team -- a critical leadership role for our 3rd Shift operations (11pm-7am Sun-Thurs). This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a proven manufacturing professional ready to drive results, inspire teams, and ensure excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

What You'll Do



Lead all off-shift operations, ensuring production schedules, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved. Serve as the senior operations leader during 3rd Shift, acting as the Plant Manager's delegate and primary escalation point. Champion safety, compliance, and food safety standards (OSHA, EPA, FSSC, company policies). Build and coach high-performing frontline leaders and teams, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous learning. Resolve bottlenecks and coordinate workflows across departments to maintain smooth production flow. Drive operational improvements using Lean and Six Sigma tools (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping). Partner with Maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and support capital/engineering projects. Monitor KPIs, costs, waste, and downtime to protect profitability and recommend sustainable improvements. Represent Malnove with professionalism during customer visits, audits, and inquiries.

Must-Haves for Success



Industry Experience

: Packaging, folding carton, printing, or other high-volume, high-precision manufacturing preferred. Related industries may also be considered.

Leadership Experience

: 5-10 years of progressive supervisory experience in a high-volume, low-waste, time-sensitive environment.

Continuous Improvement

: Strong foundation in Lean/CI principles with ability to drive sustainable process improvements.

Policy & Problem-Solving

: Skilled at interpreting and enforcing policy, escalating appropriately, and resolving complex issues with sound judgment.

People Leadership

: Balances accountability with respect -- treating individuals fairly while ensuring results.

: Proven success in mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
