About the Role
We're hiring a
Plant Mixers & Maintenance
team member to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on loaders, concrete batch plants, and related equipment. This role also operates a front-end loader to charge aggregate bins, load trucks, maintain stockpiles, and operate a concrete batch plant when required.
This position is perfect for someone who is hands-on, safety-minded, and ready to support plant operations with skill and reliability.
What You'll Do
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on loaders, concrete batch plants, and related equipment
Safely operate a front-end loader to charge aggregate bins, load trucks, and maintain stockpiles
Operate a concrete batch plant as needed
Follow all safety requirements and procedures outlined in The Gerken Companies EHS Manual
Perform duties professionally and courteously while complying with company policies
Maintain regular in-person attendance
Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management
What You Bring to the Table
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience with conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical functions preferred
Ready-mix concrete experience highly desirable, including:
+ Prior or current work with a ready-mix concrete producer
+ Experience operating or maintaining a concrete batch plant Ability to safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader (training/experience required)
Welding and burning skills preferred
Strong interpersonal, customer-service, math, and computer skills
Team-oriented with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Safely access and navigate facilities, including climbing and descending ladders
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed
