Position Summary



The Plant Manager is the senior operational leader for Isoclima's Selma facility and must bring both strong manufacturing leadership and a deep understanding of the business side of operations. This role requires full ownership of plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture, while also ensuring that operational decisions support the company's financial goals, customer commitments, and long-term growth strategy.

This leader must be equally comfortable on the production floor and in the boardroom, able to translate operational performance into business impact, influence decision-making, and drive the facility toward profitability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Leadership & Business Acumen



Understand the financial drivers of the plant--including margin, cost of goods sold, labor efficiency, scrap, overhead, and capital needs--and make decisions that support company profitability. Partner with the President/GM, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain to create and execute plant strategies aligned with commercial priorities and customer requirements. Manage plant budgets, conduct monthly financial reviews, forecast needs, and lead cost-improvement initiatives. Evaluate business impacts of operational decisions (capacity planning, equipment needs, staffing, scheduling, materials management, etc.) to balance cost, service, and quality. Present plant performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership with clarity and data-driven insight.

Operations Management



Oversee daily operations with a focus on achieving production goals while controlling labor, material usage, and variable spending. Ensure strong planning and coordination between Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics. Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, yield, waste, throughput, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery. Utilize Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement tools to streamline processes and improve business results.

Safety & Quality



Champion a zero-injury culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and corporate safety standards. Ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations and industry standards. Lead root-cause analysis for safety, quality, and production issues, ensuring sustainable corrective actions.

People Leadership & Culture



Build and develop a strong leadership team and ensure effective supervision at every level. Create a culture of ownership, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement. Partner with HR on workforce planning, coaching, employee relations, and talent development.

Customer & Commercial Awareness



Maintain a clear understanding of customer expectations, product specifications, and the impact of plant performance on customer satisfaction. Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to support scheduling, order prioritization, and resolution of service issues. Ensure that plant capabilities, capacity, and limitations are clearly communicated to commercial teams.

Capital & Project Leadership



Identify, justify, and manage capital projects to support growth, modernization, and safety improvements. Analyze ROI, operational impact, and payback for capital spending. Ensure major projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with strategic priorities.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in plant leadership. Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. Proven record of improving operational performance through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods. Experience in glass, aerospace, automotive, specialty materials, or related industries strongly preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
