Job Description

Responsibilities include:
The monthly financial close for the IN/MI manufacturing facilities including all journal entries, Account Reconciliations and analysis Prepare the Annual Budget for the IN/MI manufacturing facilities. Prepare the monthly analysis of variances to the budget. Calculate the overhead rates using ABC costing for the Elkhart manufacturing facility Project Leader for the annual physical of inventory Prepare, analyze and distribute a timely and accurate monthly job profitability report for the Elkhart facility. Provide analysis and otherwise support General Manager and Elkhart leadership team by identifying areas of opportunity for improvement, i.e. reduction of warranty expense, improving margins and improving processes. Monitoring and reporting of Aged Inventory and Fixed Assets Support the Division Controller's Office performing duties as assigned including financial analysis and reporting for quarterly reviews Documenting all accounting processes and procedures as assigned.

This position interacts with the VP of Accounting, the IN/MI manufacturing facilities general manager, and the Armor Management Team

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE


Bachelor's degree required 4-7 years previous demonstrated experience as Plant Controller or Senior Accountant in manufacturing environment Progressively increasing responsibility in accounting, standard costing, job order reporting, variance analysis, ABC (activity based costing), inventories, account reconciliations and audit preparation/ assistance CPA certification and/or master's degree preferred

EQUIPMENT USED


Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer and Manage 2000 or similar ERP system experience
