This isn\'t just any internship; it\'s a unique part-time opportunity that offers a distinct experience in the exciting realm of comic book publishing. As our intern, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work closely with our Manager of Publishing Finance & Operations and be right in the middle of the action, supporting key players in our Sales, Metadata Management, and Operations departments.

We\'re looking for candidates with a passion for data-driven analysis and a curiosity about unraveling the tales hidden within numbers and trends. If you\'re someone with a thirst for knowledge and the ability to navigate swiftly through diverse projects, you\'ll thrive in this role.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities and Projects include:

Craft and Deliver Impactful Industry Trend Reports: You\'ll compile and present regular industry trend reports to our senior management, providing them with the data-driven insights they need to make informed decisions.

Power the Marvel Print Run Process: Support critical elements of Marvel\'s weekly print run process, ensuring that the right number of books hits the shelves at the right time.

Mastering COGS Summaries: You\'ll be responsible for preparing COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) summaries, comparing forecasts with actuals and highlighting emerging trends to guide data-driven decisions.

Inventory Optimization Expert: Collaborate with our Planning team to analyze sales and inventory movement, enabling us to optimize warehouse inventory and prevent stock shortages.

Title and Contributor Metadata Optimization: Lead metadata optimization projects, including title and contributor (artist/writer) enhancements, to supercharge sales for our valued retailers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Project Juggler: Your ability to seamlessly move between projects and consistently meet deadlines is the cornerstone of our efficient and productive work environment.

Education

Undergraduate students in their junior or senior year in (or recently graduated within the past six months) pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in research, analytics or other related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 through June 2024.

Candidate must be available to work part-time hours (approximately 21-29 hours per week) during normal business hours Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday.

This internship is a primarily on-site position. You must be able to provide own housing and reliable transportation in the New York, NY area. The pay rate for this internship in New York is $18.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
