Job Summary
The Planner Scheduler III is a senior-level project controls professionally assigned to large, complex capital projects exceeding $50MM annually, often with multi-year durations. This role requires advanced expertise in project planning, scheduling, and controls, with the ability to independently manage complex schedules, influence project strategy, and provide leadership across major projects. Progression to this level indicates readiness to transition into a full Project Management role.
Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in Engineering or a related technical discipline
Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) or equivalent
7-10 years of relevant industry experience, including 2+ years in construction or project execution environments
Proven high performer, as demonstrated by prior performance reviews
Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required

Project Planning & Scheduling
Assigned to high-value, highly complex projects with significant risk, interdependencies, and stakeholder involvement
Serves as an expert user of Primavera P6, responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and optimizing integrated project schedules
Applies specialized depth and breadth of expertise in project planning and scheduling, and is recognized as an industry leader in the field
Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best-practice project controls solutions

Solves complex, non-routine problems using a broad, strategic perspective
Identifies innovative solutions that balance cost, schedule, risk, and execution impacts
