is responsible for developing, analyzing, and implementing transportation and urban planning initiatives that enhance Agile Dream Team's operational and service efficiency. This role manages complex planning studies, prepares project budgets, procures professional services, and conducts stakeholder engagement activities. The Planner contributes to shaping sustainable and accessible transportation systems through strategic analysis, data-driven decision-making, and effective project management.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage
transportation plans, feasibility studies, and analyses
that support system improvement and expansion.
Prepare
project budgets, scopes of work, and service procurement documentation
.
Manage and coordinate
complex planning studies
involving multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines.
Conduct
public outreach, community engagement, and stakeholder consultations
, ensuring inclusive participation.
Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to internal teams, leadership, and external audiences.
Implement
approved project recommendations
and monitor progress against objectives and timelines.
Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to align plans with available resources and policy goals.
Stay informed on emerging trends, regulations, and technologies in transportation and urban planning.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in City Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of
3 years of experience
in transportation planning, service scheduling, or transit service management.
Knowledge of
transportation modeling, GIS systems, and data analysis tools
.
Familiarity with project budgeting, procurement, and stakeholder engagement processes.
Licenses/Certifications:
AICP or PMP certification preferred; no D.C.-specific license required.
Residency:
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to
Washington D.C.
(on-site position).
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills; ability to balance technical and public-facing responsibilities.
