CIRCOR Naval Solutions started in 1897 under Warren Pumps\xc2\xae. This division is best known for serving the U.S. Navy\'s submarine and surface ship programs. The highly engineered and custom-built pumps are made of a wide variety of exotic materials and span an envious range of both centrifugal and positive displacement technologies

CIRCOR Portland Valve was organized in 1973, originating in Portland Maine and moved its operations to Warren, Massachusetts at the end of 2011. CIRCOR Portland Valve is a major valve supplier on the Submarine & Destroyer programs. The company\'s products include a broad range of specialized valves for various shipboard services.

Every submarine and aircraft carrier in the U.S. fleet as well as many other U.S. naval vessels depends on the pumps manufactured at Warren.

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

Principal Activities

  • Plan, prepare and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved material times to meet production requirements.
  • Determine material requirements for engineering and production schedules.
  • Coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing and production.
  • Responsible for scheduling, requisitioning and monitoring the movement of material through the production facility and will work on a wide variety of complex planning activities where material requirements are new or variable.
  • Ability to devise and augment spreadsheets to enhance planning\'s ability to proactively communicate information with a sense of urgency
  • Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members.
  • Liaise with stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Identify areas of improvement for planning in the MRP system and work with Master Scheduler on impact based solutions
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within Work orders.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Plan and schedule project timeliness and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Minimize exposure and risk on the project

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Accounting, Materials, Business or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of planning experience within a manufacturing company, preferably aerospace
  • Must have experience working within a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP systems
