What you can expect to be doing:
EDC-Inc, a division of Haley Ward is looking for a
Planner
who would be responsible for preparing due diligence reports, land use approvals, site planning, municipal planning and for compliance with agreed scope, schedule and budget for their portion of a project. Interaction with governmental entities, clients, and other consultants required.
Research, including land development codes and comprehensive plans
Preparing applications for various land approvals
Writing and editing technical reports such as justification statements, comprehensive plan and text amendments, etc.
Developing presentation materials for public hearings and neighborhood meetings
Attending meetings with clients, county and municipal staff and project managers
Support engineering staff with governmental approvals
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor or Master's in Urban and Regional Planning or related field required
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret land development regulations.
Familiarity with Martin and St. Lucie Counties desirable
Excellent writing skills
Software graphics: Photoshop desirable
Advanced Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
A criminal background check and driving record check will be conducted.
