Duties
Prepare fresh pizza dough from scratch or using pre-made bases, ensuring proper consistency and texture
Select and measure ingredients for toppings, including sauces, cheeses, vegetables, meats, and herbs
Operate pizza ovens efficiently to cook pizzas to perfection with precise timing and temperature control
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes or seasonal specials based on customer preferences
Handle food preparation tasks such as slicing vegetables, grating cheese, and portioning ingredients accurately
Serve finished pizzas promptly to ensure optimal freshness and customer satisfaction
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting, with a focus on pizza making preferred
Strong knife skills for slicing toppings and preparing ingredients efficiently
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
Experience with menu planning and culinary creativity to develop appealing pizza options
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving customers and collaborating with colleagues
Prior experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required
