Job summary

• Pay: $12.00-$15.00 per hour, based on experience.

• Part-time / Full-time position

Pizza Marker responsibilities and duties

• Prepare all ingredients and make sure all ingredients are stocked.
• Memorize and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, and portions.
• Follow standard recipes and special orders if necessary.
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
• Clean and maintain your prep area, equipment, and utensils.
• Keeping station cleaned, stocked, and organized.
• Following duties given by management
• Have a sense of urgency.
• Ensuring fresh product being served at all times, by properly rotating.
• Able to consistently prepare food up to company standard.
• Weight, measure, and portion following company recipes.
• Inspect and clean kitchen ensuring we are following sanitary food handling practices.

Pizza Maker qualifications and skills

• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Follows directions and instructions.
• Follow all portion sizes and guidance for dishes and recipes.
• Show up on time and ready for work every day.
• Maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful situation.
• Treat all coworkers with respect including FOH staff.
• Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g., in refrigerators)
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.

Work Experience Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Pizza Maker.
• Knowledge of cooking, techniques, and food in general
• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
• Always be willing to stay focused on the task at hand.
• Ability multi-task under pressure
• Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One to two years of experience as a pizza maker, line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
• Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
• Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
• Familiar with industry best practices
• ServSafe food handing, ServSafe alcohol and ServSafe allergens certifications require
