Chevron Exploration and Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Pipeliner located in Hanna, Utah through November 27th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (MT).
The Pipeliner for the Rockies Team is a general entry level position within the Operations and Maintenance group. Pipeliners can perform work tasks independently and often support Operations, Mechanics, I&E Techs, Facility Inspectors, and projects on refined products, oil, and natural gas pipeline systems.
Pipeliners take work direction from the Operations Supervisor, coordinate their own work, and complete compliance-based tasks while responsible for critical documentation. The Pipeliner must be able to complete and maintain computer-based training which includes OQ Certifications. Pipeliners become HAZWOPER trained and support emergency situations and emergency response when needed.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Perform weekly Operator Routine Duty inspections Pipeline Operator qualified tasks Gauge and sample tanks or witness and verify gauging performed by customers Perform tank gauging and grind outs on oil to check for quality Monitor and coordinate commodity movements, commodity interfaces, gauging times and the launching and receiving of pigs and scrapers with system controllers and customer contacts at receipt and delivery points Make valve line-up and manifold changes Monitor sample pots, adjust sample rates, draw samples, and perform laboratory tests on samples Investigate and resolve over/short situations and balance system inventories Maintain meter factor trend data and perform and/or coordinate measurement equipment calibrations Respond to inquiries regarding leaks, line locates, and encroachments, and take appropriate action to rectify Coordinate the inspection, performance and documentation of facilities compliance checks, and track compliance checklists Complete Managing Safe Work permits & Start Work Checks IHE / LOTO creation and implementation Conduct DOT regulated pipeline maintenance activities Conduct pipeline locating and marking along ROW's Drain down / blow down pipelines and stations Assist in meter proving / witnessing Assist and complete valve inspections Conduct pipeline Right of Way patrols, clean-up, and pipeline marker maintenance Flange bolt ups/blind removals Perform pigging for maintenance on refined product, crude oil, and natural gas pipelines Excavation oversite This position requires driving on a routine basis and is subject to callouts This position is subject to random DOT regulated Drug Testing requirements

Required Qualifications:High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required Valid driver's license with a history of safe driving practices Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices Physical ability to perform routine maintenance will be required. Regular bending and lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance and approximately 100 pounds with assistance, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges and perform repairs Ability to work rotating shifts to include holidays, weekends, and night shifts with callout duties

Preferred Qualifications:Experience in oil & gas facility operations or pipeline operations Knowledge of oil & gas pipeline operations and machinery preferred Knowledge of safety protocols applicable to oil & gas pipeline operations preferred Good electrical and mechanical aptitude Thorough knowledge of PSM to include the MOC, SAP, and PHA processes Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), and an aptitude for learning new software packages Communicates in a clear, concise, understandable manner, both orally and in writing Listens carefully and asks questions Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and team player Ability to work alone for extended periods of time

Assessment
