Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with steel, and PVC piping and a strong understanding of ammonia systems and safety protocols.

Job Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required angles using hand and power tools. Install and connect refrigeration lines, valves, compressors and other components. Assemble and install piping systems, including water, gas, steam, industrial piping and ammonia refrigeration piping. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Work with a variety of piping materials such as PVC, copper, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in an industrial or commercial setting. Experience with CO2 refrigeration systems is a plus. Experience with copper is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulations. High School diploma or equivalent, vocational training is a plus. Certification from a recognized welding authority (e.g., ASME, AWS) and EPA certification is a plus. Availability to travel overnight to customers and jobsites in the eastern United States as needed. Position requires pre-employment drug screening, criminal background screening, and driving record check. Must have a valid driver's license and be capable of driving for up to 10 hours. Availability to travel for overnight stays up to 20% of the time to customers in the eastern United States as needed. Weekend availability is required.

Physical Requirements

Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic tools, and various other equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. Comfortable in confined spaces, at heights and climb ladders, and in varying weather conditions. Manual dexterity and physical stamina. This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
