We are hiring
Pipe Layer Assistants
to join our storm drain crew. Whether you have experience or are just starting out, this is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and advance in the construction industry. You'll work alongside experienced professionals on grading and storm drain crews while gaining valuable skills.
Responsibilities
Rig, saw cut, and assist with pipe installation
Use a pipe laser and a shovel to support excavator operations
Mix mortar and use masonry to seal structures and adjust heights
Install structures and inlet protection
Perform plumbing for roof drain connections
Assist with backfill operations (shovel, rammer, trench compactor)
Operate the pad foot compactor during fill operations
Set up/take down traffic control safely
Clean, lubricate, or repair machinery, tools, or equipment as needed
Install testing equipment for water and sewer systems
Core manholes using a drill setup
Patch asphalt as required
Assemble and use trench boxes and shoring
Assist in measuring elevations on job sites
Qualifications
Ability to read a tape measure
Good attitude, reliability, and willingness to work and learn
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (where applicable).
18 years of age or older
Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Accountable conduct and excellent attendance
Able to work at a steady pace while producing quality results
Capable of performing strenuous physical activity
Able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs., climb, bend, kneel, twist, push/pull, and work outdoors in all conditions
No prior experience required, training provided
