Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Pickleball Instructor to join our community sports program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse age groups. This role offers an exciting opportunity to promote physical activity, develop players' skills, and foster a fun and engaging environment for all participants. Prior experience in sports coaching, teaching, or related activities is highly valued.

Duties

Lead and organize pickleball lessons and clinics for individuals and groups of varying skill levels Demonstrate proper techniques, rules, and strategies of pickleball to participants Create engaging lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels Ensure the safety of all participants during activities by enforcing safety guidelines and behavior management Provide feedback and encouragement to help players improve their skills and confidence Maintain a clean and organized playing area before and after sessions Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate programs, tournaments, or special events Foster a positive environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun

Requirements

Prior experience in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or related fields such as lifeguard experience, martial arts (Karate, Judo), cheerleading, or swimming is preferred Experience working in recreational or educational settings Strong knowledge of pickleball rules, techniques, and gameplay strategies Ability to manage behavior effectively and create an inclusive environment for participants of all ages Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of diverse backgrounds Background in other sports such as basketball or climbing is a plus Certification or experience in childcare or health club/gym environments is advantageous Passion for promoting health, fitness, and active lifestyles through engaging instruction
Pay: $20.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 - 20.0 per week
