Job Summary:

The Physician Services Market Director provides operational oversight and strategic direction for assigned provider practices and provider-based clinics. This role collaborates with leadership to implement initiatives that drive practice growth, improve operational efficiency, and ensure high-quality patient care. The Market Director also leads Clinic Administrators and Managers to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead effective operation of designated clinic(s) in alignment with organizational strategy. Manage all aspects of clinic operations, including financial performance, key metrics, revenue cycle analysis, and growth initiatives. Conduct regular meetings with providers to ensure operational standards and strategic objectives are met. Prepare and review budgets, monitor variances, and implement action plans as necessary. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to Clinic Administrators and support staff. Monitor practice efficiencies, start-ups, charge capture, fee schedules, and new program implementation. Develop and execute market plans to drive new patient growth. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures (HIPAA, business office standards). Attend weekly and annual physician services meetings, as well as quarterly group meetings. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Must-Haves:

Education:

Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred for larger markets) or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Experience:

Minimum 7 years in physician practice management or similar healthcare setting, with leadership experience.

Skills:

Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities, strong communication, project planning, and organizational skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or FACMPE.

Physical and Mental Demands:

Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and use of hands for computer work. Occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds. Required vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color vision.

Work Environment:

Hospital or office environment; exposure to bloodborne pathogens, contagious illnesses, toxic chemicals, or biohazardous materials may occur. Noise level typical for hospital or office. Minimal overnight travel (<10%).
