Medical Imaging Associates is a private practice based in Idaho Falls, ID and serves ID and parts of WY and MT. We have offered full-service inpatient and outpatient imaging to the area since 1967. We are a group of 30 Radiologists providing state of the art professional service a large network of clients.

POSITION SUMMARY
A local Radiology Partners division, Medical Imaging Associates is seeking an Interventional Radiologist Physician Assistant to join the practice. This opportunity is a full-time, 5 days per week position, offering a competitive salary with full benefits package offered. Participate in pre-procedure consults and post-procedure follow-up visits as part of our busy outpatient IR clinic.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pre-procedure H&P /consents as well as a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures, including: chest ports, tunneled catheters, PICC lines, paracentesis, and thoracentesis among others
• Primary role is to be physician extender/substitute for minor procedures
• Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and inpatient rounding
• Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries
• Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies
• Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
• Perform history and physical examinations of Interventional Radiology patients
• Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients
• Educate patients on their medical care
• Other duties as assigned

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Idaho required
• Must be a graduate of an ARC accredited PA program, have active DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification
