Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent patient service skills to ensure a supportive and effective rehabilitation experience for our patients.

Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of licensed therapists. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments provided. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the therapy environment. Assist with patient intake processes, including gathering medical history and current health status. Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care outcomes.

Requirements

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential. Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, particularly in acute care, outpatient, or sub-acute care environments. Familiarity with orthopedics, geriatrics, or post-acute care experience is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and service.
