Job Summary



The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to implement established patient treatment plans. This role requires an enthusiastic and compassionate professional dedicated to helping patients progress toward their functional goals, with a specific focus on FYZICAL's proprietary balance and fall-prevention programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Patient Care & Treatment:

Administer skilled physical therapy treatments as outlined in the patient's Plan of Care (POC) developed by the supervising PT. Implement and adjust therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait, and balance training, applying modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation, manual therapy, etc.) within PTA scope of practice. Directly assist patients with safe and effective completion of exercises and functional activities. Utilize

FYZICAL's state-of-the-art equipment and proprietary protocols

to deliver specialized balance and vestibular treatments
Documentation & Communication:

Observe, monitor, and record patient's response to treatment, noting status and any changes in condition or progress. Accurately complete all daily documentation, billing, and treatment notes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in a timely manner. Communicate regularly and effectively with the supervising PT regarding patient status, issues, and progression toward goals. Provide patient and family education on at-home exercises (

Home Exercise Program - HEP

) and self-treatment techniques to maximize compliance and carryover.
Clinic Operations & Teamwork:

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized. Adhere strictly to all Delaware state practice acts, professional ethical standards, and HIPAA regulations. Actively participate in clinic meetings, in-service training, and quality improvement activities. Uphold the core values and

Required Skills and Experience



Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. Current and active

Delaware PTA license

(or eligible to obtain). Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong clinical skills in orthopedic and general rehabilitation. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift/transfer patients safely.

Preferred Skills



Prior experience in an

outpatient setting

. Experience or interest in

Vestibular Rehabilitation

and/or

Balance Training

. Proficiency with EMR documentation systems.

Pay: $26.39 - $34.90 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
