Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Women's Health and Pelvic Floor Rehab Team. The ideal candidate will support licensed physical therapists in providing comprehensive patient care in a clinical office setting. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse patient populations: Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. We specialize in evaluation and treatment of any and all pelvic floor dysfunction, including female bladder, bowel, sexual, pregnancy, and postpartum concerns. The Physical Therapy Assistant will play a vital role in implementing treatment plans, assisting with discharge planning, and ensuring optimal recovery outcomes for patients under the supervision and training from The senior Pelvic Floor PT speacialist.

Responsibilities



Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients. Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities such as trigger point therapy under supervision. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately. Support patient education on exercises, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies. Help with discharge planning by providing instructions for continued care post-treatment. Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment in accordance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care plans to support effective therapy sessions.

Requirements



Valid certification or license as a Physical Therapy Assistant in accordance with state regulations. Prior experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, home health, or acute care is preferred. Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and modalities. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care planning processes. Experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics and geriatrics; experience in orthopedics is a plus. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care. Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare providers. Commitment to maintaining professional standards and ongoing learning in the field of physical therapy. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.11 - $25.42 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
