Therapy Aide for private Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy practice (19th Ave & Northern Ave). We are excited to offer this position for an entry level part time team member to join us.

This is a part-time, position in our outpatient orthopedic Physical Therapy, Aquatic Therapy and Certified Hand Therapy privately-owned practice. Become a Patient Care Coordinator-Therapy Aide at our 19th Avenue and Northern Avenue location. In addition, the Director is looking for a person who can help organize and assist the Director with specific projects of administrative duties.

Must have reliable transportation, arrive ahead of your scheduled start time ready to work, demonstrate consistent attendance, complete your tasks timely, and work with teammates to cover the front desk needs. Prior front office experience in a healthcare facility and ability to file papers, demonstrate importance of obtaining insurance benefits and pre-authorization. Must be able to be understood over the phone with clear voice. Must be able to schedule patients using computer scheduler. Must be able to follow directions. Requires ability to file patient records using alphabet, by date and with accuracy. Demonstrate care in accepting payments for co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles. Report directly to the Office Manager for supervision.

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., yet exit when last patient leaves the clinic and all duties are completed for the day to close the front office and pool area. (30 minute unpaid lunch break required, variable time per patient schedule needs.)

DUTIES:



Multi-task aspects of front office duties providing exceptional customer service greeting and serving needs of patients as well as developing relationships (referring physicians, their staff and our patients) to grow the practice; Convey information and promote our practice to the referral sources; Clearly speak with enthusiasm and friendly tone of voice; greet each patient with a smile; Manage up to three telephone lines with utmost respect, courtesy and professionalism; Schedule our patients appointments using computer program; Manage patient schedules to ensure all are followed per prescription and every patient is scheduled and seen within 24 hours of referral or phone call; Demonstrate sound understanding and knowledge of verifying insurance benefits, obtain accurate information for insurance and billing program; Track patient benefits to optimize reimbursement for all of the practice, of prescriptions-authorizations-benefits; Check tracking prior to scheduling; Data input Quality Assurance information and track compliance; analyze reports and report to supervisor; and/or Director with statistical analysis compiled; Take initiative to complete administrative assignments, thorough in completion and written documentation; ensure productivity exceeds expectations of supervisor(s); Team player with positive attitude and willingness to help other team mates and patients; communicate effectively with all team mates; Timely copy, FAX, and file written documentation of records; Scan records; Answer patient questions or help find the answer with other team mates, follow-up with claims, and direct inquiries appropriately with timely follow-up as needed; Accurately manage copay/coinsurance patient responsibilities and fiscal aspects of patient claims; Efficiently manage all records following HIPAA law; Ensure clinical team optimizes clinical productivity, referral and patient satisfaction; and Reports directly to Office Manager and to practice owner (whether on or off-site). Wage: $15/hour
