Description:

MercyOne Central Iowa operates four not-for-profit, Catholic medical centers in Des Moines, West Des Moines, Newton, and Centerville and two specialty hospitals.

MercyOne Children\xe2\x80\x99s Hospital in Des Moines and MercyOne Rehabilitation Hospital in Clive (965 beds total)

Along with more than 20 additional facilities that house more than 50 primary care, pediatric, internal medicine, and specialty clinics.

Essential Functions:

**Ask about Sign on Bonus for $10,000 or Educational Assistance up to $25,000**

Plans and presents educational programs for department, hospital, and/or community.

Assists in inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment.

Assists in maintenance of a safe, clean work environment. - Assess physical environment and functional abilities of patient within actual residence or work setting.

Utilizes specialized equipment, testing procedures, and/or advanced treatment techniques.

Transports patients/equipment to/from clinics.

Assists in preparation/maintenance of daily treatment schedule. - Uses computer to assist for documentation and entering of charges.

Provide instruction, supervision, and guidance to students, volunteers, and ancillary staff in Rehab.

Observes, measures, and records the cardiovascular responses of heart rate, heart rhythm, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s, Master\xe2\x80\x99s or Doctoral degree in physical therapy - Licensed in Iowa

Previous work experience not required

Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
