What you'll do

- Teach students to collect blood specimens using various techniques, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

- Instruct on accurate documentation of procedures, including patient information and sample tracking.

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care and laboratory efficiency.

- Perform quality control checks on equipment and supplies to maintain a sterile environment.

- Address patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

- Participate in clinical research initiatives, like clinical trials, to advance medical science.

- Help train new staff members on phlebotomy techniques and lab protocols.

- Stay current on medical terminology, anatomy, and best practices in phlebotomy.

Basic qualifications

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.

- Experience working with patients in clinical or hospital settings.

- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment maintenance.

Preferred qualifications

- At least one year of experience in phlebotomy or related healthcare roles.

- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) or educational platforms like Blackboard.
