Summary

Clinical Research Laboratory Technicians play an essential role in supporting clinical studies by ensuring the accurate collection, processing, and documentation of laboratory specimens. Working under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, Lab Techs handle biological samples, perform laboratory tests, maintain lab equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collect, process, label, and store biological samples following study protocols and regulatory requirements.

Perform laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with study protocols and Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) guidelines.

Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration, cleanliness, and proper function.

Accurately record and document all laboratory results and findings in study databases and reports.

Prepare and ship specimens to reference laboratories as needed, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.

Collaborate with clinical research coordinators and investigators to support study-specific lab needs.

Monitor and maintain lab inventory, ordering supplies as needed.

Adhere to biosafety regulations and infection control procedures to ensure a safe laboratory environment.

Assist with quality control and quality assurance measures to maintain data integrity and compliance.

Act as a backup performing lab-related procedures for other lab and research staff when needed to support clinical research operations.

Qualifications

Strong patient service skills and experience in patient care

Proficient in specimen collection and processing, including venipuncture and blood sampling

Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology

Familiarity with laboratory procedures and techniques

Experience in a hospital setting with clinical laboratory exposure

Ability to monitor and observe patient vital signs effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
