Position Overview:

Functional and Integrative Medicine clinic

is seeking a skilled and compassionate

Phlebotomist

to join our patient-centered team. The ideal candidate will have excellent venipuncture skills, strong attention to detail, and a warm, professional demeanor. This role involves collecting blood and specimen samples with precision and care while ensuring patient comfort and maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws efficiently and safely for a variety of diagnostic tests. Prepare, label, and process specimens accurately for laboratory analysis. Maintain proper handling, storage, and transportation of specimens in compliance with clinic and lab protocols. Verify patient identity and ensure accurate documentation of all procedures. Provide a calm, reassuring experience for patients before, during, and after specimen collection. Maintain phlebotomy equipment, supplies, and work areas in clean and organized condition. Follow all infection control and safety procedures (OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance). Collaborate with medical providers, nurses, and administrative staff to support smooth clinic operations. Assist with inventory management and ordering of phlebotomy supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

Phlebotomy certification

(CPT I/II or equivalent) -- required. 1+ year of experience in a clinical, laboratory, or wellness setting preferred. Knowledge of specimen handling and laboratory protocols. Excellent communication and patient service skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism. Familiarity with EMR systems and standard office software.

Base Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
