Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant (Cancer Center)

Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.000000 | Full Time | Primarily Mon - Fri between the hours of 8:30AM - 5:30PM

Salary:

Wages start at $19.90 an hour and the midpoint is $24.88 an hour. Increases are based years of experience in the field. Plus, you will earn extra shift differentials for swing, night, and weekend hours:


$1.27 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm $2.15 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am $1.10 extra for working weekends

Position Summary

The Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant orders, draws, receives and processes laboratory specimens. They are also responsible for specimen accuracy and integrity in all parts of Pre-Analytical specimen handling.

Position Qualifications

Experience

1 year laboratory experience or equivalent experience in a healthcare related field is required Experience requirement may be waived after successful completion and attainment of a Certificate of Completion from a Certified Phlebotomy Education program (NACLS: National Association of Clinical Laboratory Science) approved by Asante Laboratory Leadership

Certification/Licensure

PBT : Phlebotomy Technician is preferred MLA: Medical Laboratory Assistant is preferred
