Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and blood sampling with precision and care. Collect, label, and process specimens according to established protocols. Maintain patient safety and comfort during the specimen collection process. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to prevent contamination. Document patient information accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards. Monitor and record vital signs as necessary before and after procedures. Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns and answering questions related to the procedure. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.

Skills

Proficient in laboratory procedures and techniques relevant to phlebotomy. Experience in clinical laboratory settings, preferably in a hospital environment. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Ability to perform specimen collection and processing accurately. Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Familiarity with blood sampling techniques and vital signs monitoring. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols for safety and accuracy. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
