Position Summary:

The

Phlebotomist

is responsible for the collection and processing of specimens for laboratory analysis. Must possess excellent communication skills and a thorough knowledge of laboratory test requirements and departmental policies.

Perform venipuncture on outpatients to include pediatric and geriatric patients Conduct heel sticks on infants Collect throat and nasal swabs Process specimens Clerical and reception duties as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy Certificate preferred or one years experience Basic Computer Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous phlebotomy experience with all age groups.
