PHLEBOTOMIST

SHIFTS AVAILABLE

:

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) route Full-time, 7on/7off, 5:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Sunday (TriState Health location) Full-time, 7on/7off, 12:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Sunday (TriState Health location) Part-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-12:00pm (Clearwater Medical Clinic location)

POSITION TYPE:

Accepting resumes for full-time and part-time positions. We are looking to add motivated, and patient service focused team members. Phlebotomy experience a plus.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Collect blood from donor, check quality of blood, and assume responsibility for safety and comfort of donor, following established standards and practices

POSITION DEMENSIONS:

WORK PERFORMED:

Performs duties according to established standard techniques and procedures while utilizing proper equipment. Follows strict principles of asepsis and antisepsis in performing duties. Assemble supplies and equipment. Ensure equipment is clean and functioning properly. Maintains the work area and test tray in sanitary condition. Process specimens accordingly when needed. Assists in Client Services upon request. Store and label blood as required. Participate in Quality Control Prioritize workload in the Phlebotomy Department accordingly Maintain employee updates, in-services, and meetings as required Assist in the orientation and training of volunteers, students, and new employees as requested Consult with and keep supervisor informed of needs, activities and problems. Work overtime if necessary to provide the best coverage possible in the event of a scheduling crisis Performs other duties as needed.

EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND:

Typing, data entry and computer skills preferred. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP).

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license required.
BENEFIT CONDITIONS:

Full-time employees eligible for medical, dental, vision, etc. Eligible the first day of the following month.
