JOB SUMMARY:
  • The Certified Pharmacy Technician works under the lead supervision of a Pharmacist to provide services to Pharmacy customers.
  • The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing Pharmaceutical Care.
  • Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
  • Collect/enter appropriate method of payment from patrons for prescriptions, OTCs and non-pharmaceutical products purchased.
  • Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
  • Answers telephones, responding to questions or requests.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate\'s degree (2 years college); Requires knowledge of a specialized field
  • MINIMUM 2 YRS EXPERIENCE AS PHARMACY TECH
  • Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technicians required. MUST BE BOTH REGISTERED AND CERTIFIED WITH MARYLAND BOARD OF PHARMACY
  • PTCB preferred or equivalent state program
  • Rotating schedule: Two day shifts (8:30 to 5) and 3 evening shifts (12:45 to 9:15 pm) including weekend rotation
Additional Information Please note: As a condition of employment, if not already completed, all new hires are required to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccination Series prior to their Occupational Health pre-employment assessment, and scheduled to complete the Vaccine Series within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
