Job Description

AllCare Pharmacy in Little Rock serves residents in Long-Term Care Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and Correctional Facilities -and has been doing so for over 40 years. We are looking to add motivated pharmacy technicians to our team who will share our passion for providing the highest level of care to some of our state's most vulnerable populations.

As a pharmacy technician at AllCare, you will make an impact on people's lives working as part of a professional team of healthcare providers to meet the pharmacy needs of people in need. Moreover, you will be provided opportunities to develop professionally and advance your career.

Pharmacy Technicians are a very essential member of the pharmacy team. They assist pharmacists in many ways to create the most effective and efficient pharmacy operation, which allows our company to provide the best care available to our patients. A Pharmacy Technician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Saying "Thank you for calling AllCare, I am _your name_, Pharmacy Technician" when answering calls

Identify yourself as a pharmacy technician whenever making or receiving calls on behalf of the pharmacy

Answering phones or making calls to assist facility staff

Learn how to appropriately use pharmacy software

Medication order entry

Insurance claim adjudication processing

Medication packing in blister cards

Assist in putting up daily medication order

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Must be willing to help coverage of other shifts when needed

Reading Employee Handbook and expecting the standards within it of pharmacy staff

Being available to come in after hours or at times when needed outside of regular work schedule

Assist Pharmacist to make sure drug recalls are performed appropriately

Managing inventory (purchasing specific drugs from designated suppliers to maximize profitability

Creating a climate of professionalism/genuine concern for patient wellness and needs of facility caregivers especially when communicating directly with facility staff. Rudeness will not be tolerated

Performing any other assigned tasks not listed above (i.e., ER box replenishment, checking for out of dates, etc.)

Schedule

Available shifts: 7on/7off (Thurs-Wed) 11a-10p, M-F 8a-5p or 9a-6p with rotating weekends Consistent schedule with opportunities to work extra to help cover PTO days for other pharmacy technicians.

Compensation and Benefits

AllCare offers more than competitive compensation and benefit packages.

Up to $20/hr

Technicians with PTCB CPhT Certification can make up to $20/hr after 90 day probationary period

Job Requirements

18 years or older High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Pharmact Technician License (will hire if you don't currently have a license, but will need to start the process of getting one as soon as hired) Follow all Pharmacy Technician related regulations as detailed in the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy Lawbook Professional dress and appearance Ability to work as a team Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Legal compliance, accurate interpretation of instructions from supervisor, verbal communication, adherence to dress code, productivity, quality focus, attention to detail

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
