Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a hybrid pharmacy with the main emphasis being compounding medications for people and pets.

Duties

Prepare and dispense medications accurately following prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Manage medication intake processes, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and offering medication guidance Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and pharmacy regulations Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the pharmacy environment. Communicate with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

Prior pharmacy technician experience is required. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong patient service skills. Familiarity with pharmacy operations including intake procedures and medication management Registration with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy is required. Certification as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work efficiently and fast-paced while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing compassionate patient support
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
