As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to patients. Your expertise in medication administration, patient service, and critical care will be essential as you assist pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care. What you'll do

Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to established protocols and regulations. Assist in the management of medication inventory, including ordering, restocking, and expiration date checks. Provide outstanding patient service by answering inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage and side effects. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care, particularly in acute care and critical care settings. Perform IV infusion preparations using aseptic techniques to maintain safety and sterility. Conduct intake assessments to gather necessary information for medication therapy management. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and industry trends to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Basic qualifications

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role within a pharmacy setting.

Preferred qualifications

Experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy environments. Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and acute care settings. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
