Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients, ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical services.
Duties
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of the physician
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies
- Assist in the preparation of sterile products using aseptic technique
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals
- Utilize medical terminology accurately
- Follow established procedures for labeling, packaging, and storing pharmaceuticals
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
Experience
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician - Experience in an acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and medical terminology
