Overview: The Pharmacy Technician's responsibilities include assisting the Pharmacist in the safe arrival, handling, and compounding of chemotherapy agents in the Oncology Pharmacy setting. The pharmacy technician is responsible the monitoring, ordering and reconciliation of patient supplied medications from the manufacturers and also assists the research pharmacist with investigational clinical trials. Responsibilities: Accurately and safely prepare and label chemotherapy drugs for administration. Assist in putting away daily orders and log the inventory into inventory management inventory system. Clean all hoods and IV room equipment and document per policy. Assist with monthly inventory and outdate checking. Assist with monthly deep cleaning of the pharmacy. Accurately fill and deliver Omnicell restock lists. Check inventory levels of supplies and order as needed. Document appropriate equipment functionality. Aid Investigational Pharmacist and Technician as needed. Restock clean rooms and nursing station daily. Empty trash and stericycle bins daily. Qualifications: Certifications: Licensed Pharmacy Technician within 60 days of license application - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Certified Pharmacy Technician Not Required - Student Pharmacist or Licensed before 1/1/2008 - Exempt/Not Required; Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years of license issue date (IL) - Varies, Education: , Work Experience: Carle Health Company Overview:
