We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties

Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Assist pharmacists with medication administration and patient care activities Manage medication intake processes, including verifying orders and ensuring proper documentation Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and coordinating medication needs Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals Follow safety procedures and adhere to regulatory guidelines related to medication handling Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes in acute care, hospital, or LTC settings

Skills

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in community/retail pharmacy settings Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and pharmacy operations Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate medication preparation and documentation Knowledge of pharmacy software systems (PrimeRx also known as Micro-merchant) and inventory management tools
