We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications. Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals, ensuring that medications are stocked and organized. Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information and medication orders. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile products, adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare teams in critical care and acute care settings to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Document all medication administration and maintain accurate records for compliance purposes. Stay informed about new medications, pharmacy policies, and relevant regulations.

Requirements

Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medication administration processes. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing high-quality patient service and support within the pharmacy team.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
