Current Need

McKesson is seeking a Pharmacy Sales Executive (PSE), Community Pharmacy & Health. The ideal PSE candidate will be based in the central region market, covering Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan markets.

Position Description

The Pharmacy Sales Executive (PSE) will grow existing Pharmaceutical Solutions & Services market share through highly skilled acquisition of key new business, with focus solely on acquiring new independent & regional chain business through development & implementation of sales and marketing strategies geared to the community pharmacy distribution market. The PSE is responsible for identifying potential large and strategic new business opportunities, completing the sales process, collaborating with the onboarding team to bring on accounts, and ensure compliance prior to transitioning the account to a Pharmacy Sales Consultant for ongoing account management.

Additional responsibilities may include monitoring, enforcing, and maintaining compliance with key regional groups through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. May also entail managing the relationship between McKesson and some of our small and medium chains and groups.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement long and short-term sales & marketing strategies for growing regional market share.

Grow Community Pharmacy business of large scale throughout the market.

Work consistently with a detailed sales process and utilize Salesforce.com to track all activity.

Manage and drive an active, full funnel of multiple sales prospects from beginning to end, from identifying through achieving compliance to committed minimum ordering metrics.

Customize a unique solution, including pricing proposal and applicable McKesson solutions and services, for each potential customer or group.

Thoroughly understand and explain McKesson\'s community pharmacy programs, services, and key benefits to current and potential customers, sales partners, and other internal or external groups.

Collaborate with regional sales and management teams on larger groups and prospects and for warm handoff once compliance is achieved.

Present to and communicate with executives in small/medium community pharmacy establishments and within the McKesson organization to receive approval and buy-in for proposals, engaging additional subject matter experts for assistance as needed.

Execute, manage, and oversee conversion process of new business until transition to Pharmacy Sales Consultant, once compliant.

Minimum Requirements

Requires 7+ years relevant sales experience.

Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record.

70% regional travel with 8-12+ overnights per month.

Critical Skills

7+ years sales experience with track record of success.

Working knowledge of healthcare pharmacy sales industry.

Ability to navigate a large matrix organization and influence internal stakeholders and partners.

Experience selling higher in an org and/or demonstrated success record of selling to large, pharmacy customers.

Must be open to 70% travel with 8-12+ overnights per month.

Proficiency with using a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce, ACT).

Proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook.

Education

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with an emphasis in sales, marketing, business management, or healthcare related field preferred.

Working Conditions

Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted \xe2\x80\x93 This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Remote/Home Office work environment \xe2\x80\x93 Must live in the Eastern US, ideally centrally located.

Able to travel extensively overnight in region to customers 70% of the time by air and by car.

Must have a valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record/MVR.

The territory is the Central Region & details include \xe2\x80\x93 IA, IL, MI, MN, NE, ND, SD, & WI.

PSE Rep must live in one of these 6 states \xe2\x80\x93 IA, MN, ND, NE, SD, or WI \xe2\x80\x93 while also covering IL & MI.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$154,400 - $257,400

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
