POSITION SUMMARY



The pharmacist will oversee all activities in managing the organization's Pharmacy Program. The Pharmacist is charged with overseeing all ordering and dispensing of pharmaceutical drugs. Will comply with all state Pharmacy Laws and Regulations. Will work in conjuction with the Clinical Services Coordinator, Quality/TQI Director and CFO to maintain and manage all 340B and DMEPOS policies and procedures to be in compliance with TJC, CMS and any other regulating organization.

Essential Functions Statement(s)



Maintains all appropriate records and logs of pharmacy inventory. Responsible for ordering and receiving drug supplies. Manages all third party Remittance Advice reports. Responsible for daily cash register activities and computer reports. Dispenses all medications ordered, in compliance with Arkansas State Pharmacy Laws and Regulations. Educates consumers regarding prescribed medications. Operates under the adopted Formulary of the Center. Consults with providers as needed regarding medication usage and trends. Attends all clinic meetings and in-services of the Center. Attends Quality Improvement meetings as appropriate. Evaluates Pharmacy programs and reports to the Chief Financial Officer any cost saving measures. Performs all job duties in compliance with ARcare Safety and Infection Control policies. Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES



Education:

Doctor of Pharmacy degree







Experience:

Six months to one-year related experience preferred



Computer Skills



Efficient in word and able to learn new computer programs.



Certificates & Licenses



Licensed in the State of Practice. Graduated from a accredited school of Pharmacy. Experience in the pharmacy field. Knowledge if all business aspects regarding running a pharmacy. Understands all Medicaid, Medicare and third party billing and remittance.
