Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our team at a specialty pharmacy in Lakeland, FL!
Responsibilities:
- Manage and dispense medications to patients
- Review medication orders and verify patient information
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication therapy management programs
- Provide patient counseling and education on medication use and side effects over the phone
- Monitor and manage medication inventories
- Maintain accurate patient records and billing information
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Florida
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of medication therapy and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records
