POSITION OVERVIEW

Fill orders with Accuracy; check technician prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about daily activities of the pharmacy; aid the Director in maintaining pharmacy. Reports to Director of Pharmacy.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of a college of Pharmacy, required
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
  • One to two years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Current Montana licensed Pharmacist.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Very good drug knowledge base including pharmacokinetics dosing and nutritional support. Working computer knowledge. Effective communication skills, verbal and written. Repetitive use of hands and finger (i.e. use of computer keyboard) and labeling containers. Repetitive tasks are often performed with one hand only. Normal range of hearing and vision to perform work and communicate. Verbal and written communication. Extended periods of standing and walking. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
