The Role
Lead the mechanical health of our pharmaceutical packaging assets, ensuring uptime, compliance, and throughput. You'll own troubleshooting and maintenance for blister and other packaging systems, coordinate with vendors, and guide technicians while keeping documentation and SOPs impeccable.
What You'll Do
  • Prioritize daily objectives with leadership to hit production targets.
  • Direct and support fellow mechanics; step in as the go-to troubleshooter for equipment issues.
  • Execute and document preventive maintenance on all packaging equipment each month.
  • Analyze electrical, electronic, and mechanical failures; source and resolve root causes.
  • Partner with equipment vendors when complex problems arise.
  • Own rapid set-ups and changeovers aligned to schedule needs.
  • Report equipment performance and status to packaging management.
  • Participate in installation and debugging of new or modified machinery.
  • Follow SOPs, cGMP, and safety protocols; maintain complete, accurate records.
  • Complete all MasterControl trainings successfully.
  • Pitch in with additional duties as needed.

This role may include supervisory responsibilities such as vendor and contractor coordination, timecard approvals, on-the-job training, and supporting the growth of team members.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma plus technical school certificate.
  • 5+ years as a GMP Packaging Mechanic in pharmaceutical or vitamin environments.
  • Blister packaging experience is required.
  • Lead or supervisory background strongly preferred.
  • Comfort reading and composing technical communications; able to present findings clearly.
  • Solid math skills (whole numbers, fractions, decimals) and practical problem-solving.
